The trek goes through the pine forests and crosses several tribal villages on the way to kareri lake trek. Kareri village is a gaddi tribal village. Our today’s trail is pretty straightforward and takes us past small mountain villages. The village is straddled on a sloping ridge and adorned with terrace fields at the outer fringes.

  • Prepare to camp and set up tents and sleeping bags that will be provided.
  • As we put a hold at the campsite for the night, one can explore the splendid beauty of the place and engage with other trekkers over fun-filled activities!

Kareri is the beautiful serene village. After Breakfast, we will start the trek to Riyoti, which is our second base for Kareri Lake Trek. Its an easy to the moderate trek of around 4-5 hours. Packed lunch will be served en route to Riyoti. Walking through Oak forest we will reach Riyoti (Liyoti) and will set our camps next to the beautiful Liund stream which rises from the lake. Overnight camping and dinner at Riyoti. If weather permits, we would have a bonfire.

Day 2Ryoti - Kareri Lake (Distance 5-6 km)

After an early breakfast in the morning, we start our trek to Kareri lake. Today we will trek for 5 km to reach the Kareri lake, it’s a moderate trek of 3 hours. On reaching the lake , we will pitch our camp next to the beautiful kareri lake. Overnight camping and dinner at Kareri Lake and have a bonfire if weather permits. The Kareri Lake Trek has reached its final destination 😉

Day 3Kareri Lake - Kareri Village - Drive to Dharamshala (Distance 13-15 km)

This is our last day of the amazing trek. The day will be long but as we will be descending mostly it won’t be tough hard on the trekker. After Breakfast, we trek back to the village. On reaching Village, we have our lunch and later we drive back to McLeodganj. Cancellation Policy

You know what sucks? When you plan a trip with your friends and 3 weeks before scheduled departure, three of them drop out. But you know what’s even worse? When you are that annoying friend who drops out. Don’t be that friend.Unfortunately, if due to unforeseeable circumstances you have no choice but to cancel, we’ll try to understand. In the meanwhile, why don’t you try to understand our cancellation policy? It’s a little like trekking- it’s a little complicated initially, but it’s a cakewalk once you get the hang of it.

The cancellation charges (apart from all the disappointment) are as follows :

  • Cancellations more than 30 days before the start of the trek Book any other trek in the next one year or get 80% refund
  • Cancellations between 30 and 20 days before the start of the trek Get 50% refund
  • Cancellations between 20 and 15 days before the start of the trek Get 30% refund
  • Cancellations less than 10 days before the start of the trek Ah, it’s a bit too late! Call up everyone you know and have them come to the trip because there’s no cash refund at such a short notice.

But if it’s something sudden like strikes, mudslides, earthquakes, crazy rainfall and the like, which is preventing us from conducting the trek, we will be offering you 50% of the total amount as a voucher. It will remain redeemable for the cancelled trek or any other, for the next one year so you will have plenty of time to travel with us again! If you’re planning on cancelling, shoot us a mail at cancellation@outlandertreks.com or call up at +91-8800705385.
