To experience the thrills of trekking in the Dhauladhar Range in lap of mighty Himalayas, to relish
the tranquility of the Dharamshala, to enjoy the serene camping grounds of Triund and Laka Got
and of course for the visual delights of lush Deodar vegetation, glittering streams and deep
gorges. Trek to the Indrahar Pass and indulge in group activities like Cricket, Volleyball etc. Sit by
the bonfire and discover the local delicacies of unknown lands.
Triund is about 11 km from Mcleodganj. You will totally love it as this trail is serene and not
gruelling at all. The view from the top will be simply sublime, a visual poetry in actual sense, so try
to fully satiate the photographer in you!
Triund has an eclectic vegetation of Oak, Deodar and Rhododendron. It will merely take four hours
to complete the Triund trek.
Pitch in a camp on reaching Triund, which is an alpine meadow. Relax and enjoy a steamy cup of
tea around campsite snugged in the lap of Dhauladhar range.
Get up at the break of the lovely dawn and brace yourself for the adventures of the day. Today you
are going to trek from Triund Hill to the Laka Got. From Triund Hill, Laka glacier is 5 km uphill.
Laka Got is a temporary shepherd camp. You will get to adore the snow-capped mountains. After
the trek pitch into a camp, have supper and catch up on sleep.
Today you will be high on adrenaline as today you are going to trek and explore Indrahar, so pull up
your socks and let the adventure begin! Keep the cameras and the mobile phones charged. Pack all
the essentials in a small bag. The trekking trail starts from Laka Got, through the Lahesh Caves. The
trekking will end with you getting the beautiful view of the Chamba and Kangra Valley. You will
cherish the enthralling experience of trekking here forever.
Today you will be trekking downhill to Mcleoganj. The trek will start from Laka, through the
snowline to Triund. From there you will go to Mcleoganj which has a sprawling of makeshift
shops, cafes and colourful quaint little shops lined in the streets of the main square.
Bhagsu Nag river is another major attraction which you can’t afford to miss. Don’t forget to get a
picture clicked with one of those red robe clad Buddhist Monks!
You know what sucks? When you plan a trip with your friends and 3 weeks before scheduled departure, three of them drop out. But you know what’s even worse? It will remain redeemable for the cancelled trek or any other, for the next one year so you will have plenty of time to travel with us again!
